Cuando llega el crepúsculo las calles de las ciudades cambian por completo y el bullicio se torna silencio, el movimiento se transforma en algo estático que avanza sin forma hacia nosotros y todo lo que parecía pasa a desaparecer, a mimetizarse entre luces y sombras, las que son, en definitiva, las verdaderas dueñas de las calles.
Caminar por la noche en Kota Bharu y callejear es transportarse a otra ciudad diferente, sin parecidos, sin gente, sin lugares comunes desde los que continuar observándola.
Sus calles son espacios de introspección donde la mente puede volar a cualquier sitio en menos de tres pasos mientras silenciosamente te susurran el camino a seguir a base de pistas casi imperceptibles.
Esta es mi visión de esas calles mientras la ciudad duerme, así es como se me mostró, o como decidí retratar una Kota Bharu que me acogió durante algo más de una semana sin pedirme nada a cambio, y además me acabó susurrando, a base de pistas casi imperceptibles, el camino a seguir.
